Oh, i agree. The first anarchist, j. proudhon was not against " 'Pure' capitalism", he was aganist " 'state' Capitalism". As Engels put it, "he is an ideologist of the petty-bourgeoisie." So unless one is to say the first anarchist; Proudhon, was not a real anarchist, then i would say all anarchist are pro-free-market because most anarchist just want to abolish the state so that there is no one to tax them. OFCOURSE with the exception of anarcho-communist. Who are nothign more the utopians

Anarchism is against the state and all forms of involuntary rulership, not that anarchists can't be against capitalism or class if they want to but there is nothing 'inate' in anarchism that is against those things.

Well I do think Lenin was a communist, but he abused it, and so did Stalin.

Communism is not counterpoised to anarchism. Both want a classless socity in which government as we know today will not exsist. The differ because Marxism demands the aboltion of the capitalism and a withering away of the state. Anarchism is abolition of the state and capitalism. the question is, do you think that the human race can abolish the state right now or should it wither away with workers control. Please read more my friend.

o my god. a moment! re-listin to this song and read lenin and trotsky. You are force feed capitalist prop! And the USA televised the Russian revolution! There was no moment to be seen. It was the third revolution of 1917 which changed the world. if you really think that lenin was not a communist then PLEASE PLEASE read " the state and revolution" by Lenin. You will thank me if you agree with Marx. And also remember that marx was not the only one who wrote the CM. Engels co-wrote it.

beatnik8,
The wikipedia article on this song is very helpful when it comes to understanding context.

I think I understand his point. But it's hard to 100% understand where he is coming from if I wasn't born during the time this poem was written/performed. So could someone clarify what he means and a brief description of the context in which it was performed in?
