It will stay in its solid form for a fairly long time, I dont believe that it will disolve unless it gets wet again. And for it being harmful...it's actually less harmful than table salt. It's used in food preservitives alot. Your actually probably better off eating that than salt lol.

Does it melt, or fade? And also, I'm guessing side affects for eating would be death or explosive diarrhea...
