The top of the screen that you touch goes by several names.. Digitizer, Glass Top or Touch Panel. The part under that that you see the image on is an LCD. BUT for the iPhone gen 1 you need a complete assembly. Goto PDAparts(dot)com and take a look at part number IP-2085

what i'm confused about is are there 2 parts or three parts to the screen? is it the digitizer/glasstop and the lcd ? or a glasstop, lcd, and digitizer

i read how you said if the LCD or digitizer is broken you need both, but if you break the glass is it ok to just buy the outerglass replacement?

You can use a little hot clue but be careful or just seat the antenna connection back on they most of the time have a snug fit which will be fine.

You said the antenna cable is glued? So you need to glue it back to re assemble?
pdaparts (August 27, 2008 at 3:14 pm)
no it will not fit
