Viral videos have really caught on in the last couple of years in online marketing. It’s a very powerful way of getting your messages out there, and as you will see can be a whole lot of fun! Here are a few gems I found today on YouTube which I’m sure you will find very amusing. At least I laughed at them all, or was is it just me?
Here are five viral videos you should get a chuckle out of…..I especially liked the first one and the very last one:)
Viral Marketing Video 1
Viral Marketing Video 2-This Bud’s For You
Viral Marketing Video 3-Funlmation Viral Marketing
Viral Marketing Video 4-Counterfeit Mini
Viral Marketing Video 5-Mini Cooper runs over Sexy girl
These particular viral videos were obviously accomplished with a fairly good advertising budget for the production of them, but, you certainly wouldn’t have to go to such lengths to produce some very good videos of your own. You could come up with some great videos even with your web cam or Camtasia. Many of these videos can become just as viral as some of the videos where they had a huge budget to work with. One of the other considerations is the distribution of your videos. This can be a very time consuming process when you are uploading them to the many video distribution sites such as YouTube, Revvar and many others. I’ve uncovered a few great places in which you can make your distribution time cut to a fraction of the time. TubeMogul is a free service online in which you can distribute to fourteen of the video sites with the same submission. Also, if you really want to hit the scene fast and distribute them to all of the popular sites with hardly any effort on your part, you can use a service such as Traffic Geysor.
I hope you found this post helpful, take care until next time!

Here are a few more sites with some good info on the topic of viral video. Enjoy!
Thank you! In the coming months, I will launch a membership area of my section of Keyboard Culture and will need a way of making a splash. This information will prove quite helpful.
Viral videos certainly get a lot of hits on the popular video sites but do they produce any sales for the companies creating them. Do you know of any studies?
I have just come across TubeMogul myself and am placing getting ready to place some tutorials using it for our niche.
If you get your hands on some of Mark Joyner’s stuff he covers a few different studies. A great example is “The Secret”. This series of teaser videos of course sparked a whole movement, and tons of sales for the company behind it. One of the things that is very important to include with viral video would be to include a “call to action” at the end of the video. i.e= For more information visit “website url” Hope that helps a bit Rick. Thanx for stopping by!
I watched the videos. Watching one right after the other gives me some ideas of how to make a viral video. Actually this will be very hard to do since I sell health insurance. How funny is that?
Well, you know Rick. Videos don’t always have to play on the emotion of laughter. The top campaigns are always built on emotion whether it’s laughter or something else. Such emotions as human compassion, shock, etc. can also be used and bring great results to. “The Secret” as outlined definitely didn’t use laughter as it’s hook, it played on many different emotions we experience as human beings.
