So just “What the hell is blogging?” Actually, that is a completely shamelessly placed long tail search term at the beginning of this post. Man, I must be over tired again… Hey, a guy has to keep himself entertained at 2 a.m. in the morning right. That is true though, “what the hell is blogging” is a term that is searched for on a daily basis in the engines. Hmmm, go figure? So is “SEO blogging software”…..hmmm that’s peculiar?

Anyhow, all kidding aside this is just a quick little rap up of this week since two great blogging softwares have come to light. First off, our good friend Holly Mann uncovered a great little tool for people to use in their blogging which gives you all the features of using Microsoft Word for making your posts. It’s a desktop application which Holly found and it’s a very useful cool tool you can use in your blogging. Holly explains it much better on her blog than I will attempt to here. You can check her post about the Free Blog Word Processing Software she discovered this week on her blog. Yay Holly!

Additionally, Jack Humphrey released the brand new Utility Poster software which is also a great tool for getting posts accomplished quick if you are in a hurry, and it’s great for posting on remote blogs. I was able to create very fast posts on the remote blogs that I’m running on Blogger, Wordpress.com, Live Journal and Xanga in no time.

Jack’s new software cost me $67 dollars to grab, but I have to say it sure is quick and convenient, and it posted to all of the different platforms of the remote blogs just fine. It initially took me a minute or two to figure out that on some of the platforms I actually had to paste the content I’d chosen into the html to obtain the results I was looking for in the posts, but, it occurred to me quite quickly that this was what I had to do in some cases. Jack doesn’t have an affiliate program set up for this as of yet, but I’m sure their will be a lot of bloggers out there selling it once he does. It’s a real handy piece of software to have. In many ways I guess a person could coin this as an SEO blogging software since you can make such fast posts on your remote blogs if you want and in the long run these links heading back to your main blog can help you with traffic and SEO. So all in all it’s a great tool to have. As you can see by Jack’s video you could even go so far as creating a great link bait post on your main blog with it.

So it’s been a pretty cool week of having some great softwares brought to our attention to help with blogging. So thank you to Holly Mann and Jack Humphrey for bringing these to our attention. These are sure to help a lot of bloggers out there! What the hell is blogging again?

Viral videos have really caught on in the last couple of years in online marketing. It’s a very powerful way of getting your messages out there, and as you will see can be a whole lot of fun! Here are a few gems I found today on YouTube which I’m sure you will find very amusing. At least I laughed at them all, or was is it just me?

These particular viral videos were obviously accomplished with a fairly good advertising budget for the production of them, but, you certainly wouldn’t have to go to such lengths to produce some very good videos of your own. You could come up with some great videos even with your web cam or Camtasia. Many of these videos can become just as viral as some of the videos where they had a huge budget to work with.One of the other considerations is the distribution of your videos. This can be a very time consuming process when you are uploading them to the many video distribution sites such as YouTube, Revvar and many others. I’ve uncovered a few great places in which you can make your distribution time cut to a fraction of the time. TubeMogul is a free service online in which you can distribute to fourteen of the video sites with the same submission. Also, if you really want to hit the scene fast and distribute them to all of the popular sites with hardly any effort on your part, you can use a service such as Traffic Geysor.
